My name is Ganka Toneva and I am originally from Simeonovgrad, Bulgaria. After graduating from University having achieved a first class degree in law, I spent three years working for the Police as a criminal investigator, with my work encompassing such subjects as criminal law, forgery and fraud investigation.

After which I then spent a further two years in a law practice that specialized in county court judgments, property repossession, sales and purchases, where I personally handled over one thousand such cases.

During this time I developed a profound knowledge of the Bulgarian property market and legal system, whilst at the same time building up an excellent network of colleagues and associates.

My role is one of a specialist in criminal, civil and law enforcement. This entails representing my clients in court and among my duties was the establishing of new companies and their legal maintenance. I was in charge of the whole process of buying, selling and obtaining  properties, lands and real estate

My role here was to practice both law enforcement and civil law. I prepared official documents for banks, governmental institutions and individual clients and I also prepared the instructions for the legal staff in the office, based on the documents provided by the clients. I had by now completed my 5 years necessary to become a member of the law chamber.

09.07.2008         Criminal Investigator at the  Ministry of Interior – Bulgaria

I was in charge of an investigation team. I have had a lot of experience in narcotics, road traffic accidents, theft and burglaries, economic crimes such as forgery and documentation fraud, rape, murder threats and suspicious deaths. I enjoyed my time here but was offered a role with greater responsibility and more career prospects so decided to leave.

01.12.2004 – 04.05.2005  Juridical Services, Municipal administration – Simeonovgrad, Bulgaria

This was my first job as a lawyer after leaving university.  Prepared legal documents, participated in and took minutes at the Council meetings. After a short but successful time I passed the test to work for the Ministry Of Interior so decided to move on.
